Merge with 2022 rail war in Russia
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result of this discussion was…not to merge. Consensus is that the two articles are describing events that differ in time and reason .
These two rail wars are occurring simultaneously for the same reasons and involve the same groups. Charles Essie (talk) 17:18, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
- Do not merge. It is like merging French Resistance and German resistance to Nazism. Two different countries, two different events, and the groups are different, see Meduza, which says that the rail war in Russia is organized by Russian BOAK group which was inspired by the rail war in Belarus. Also they are not simultaneous, the rail war in Belarus was happenning in February-April, mostly before April withdrawal of Russian army, while the rail war in Russia is happenning much later. The RS are also covering them separately. Wikisaurus (talk) 20:49, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
- Comment. I would suggest splitting the 2022 Belarusian and Russian partisan movement in two, one for belarus and one for russia, and merge the rail war articles respectively, the one on Belarus could still be called "2022 Rail war in Belarus", but the Russian one could be renamed "2022 Russian anti-war partisan movement" or something similar, thoughts? 177.181.246.54 (talk) 01:38, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
- I also suggest merging the 2022 Russian military commissariats arsons into the possible Russian article, as its part of the same topic. 177.181.246.54 (talk) 01:44, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
- Do not merge: Per the rationale from Wikisaurus. —Legoless (talk) 08:57, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
- Do not merge. As per Wikisaurus: according to the sources, the groups taking the actions are different, the political characteristics are different (opposing a foreign military force invited by an indigenous dictator versus opposing the military of one's own country), and the time periods don't match well: the Belarusian actions were in the first few months, while the Russian ones appear to be more sustained.
